Juicy Salif

A well as being the most controversial citrus fruit squeezer of the 20th century, it has also become one of the icons of design of the 1990s, and it continues to be one of the most provocatively intelligent articles in the Alessi catalog. The Juicy Salif lemon squeezer was one of the first projects designed by Philippe Starck for Alessi. Alberto Alessi comments: " I received a napkin from Starck, on it among some incomprehensible marks (tomato sauce, in all likelihood) there were some sketches. Sketches of squid. They started on the left, and as they worked their way over to the right, they took on the unmistakable shape of what was to become the juicy salif. While eating a dish of squid and squeezing a lemon over it, Starck drew on the napkin his famous lemon squeezer."

LogiPen Digital Pen

Have you ever had that debate about hand written notes vs typed notes? Jotting down a hand written note tends to be quick and long personal letters tend to be more thoughtful. On the other hand they can’t be saved, backed up, copied and inserted into an email like a document. But typing may soon lose its title as the most convenient way to write, thanks to a little help from the LogiPen. The LogiPen Digital Pen captures and saves everything you write and draw, letting you upload it all to your computer. With the push of a button you can even convert your hand written words into typed text.

Born in Turin, Piedmont, Carlo Mollino grew up and became interested in a variety of topics that were as gaudy as his art, such as design, architecture, the occult, and race cars. His outrageous credo was certainly reflected throughout his body of work. Mollino's architecture and furniture are famous for their ability to enable occupants to manipulate volumes at a whim. Carlo Mollino died in 1973, he was still working.
